WORKSHOP
Taking the Bite out of Stage Fright
with Dr Randy Ritz

Saturday, May 24/25 - 9am (pacific)

Stage Fright… the poor cousin of anxiety and phobias.  Stage Fright, however, is different than the other two in that presenters usually know when a ‘’Fright Attack’’ will happen (i.e., 10:35 Sunday Morning before Biblical presentation during a service).  Dr Ritz will lead participants to explore five methods to mediate Stage Fright… pick the one(s) that works best for you as a presenter:

  1. Interactive Rehearsal (the vaccine for Stage Fright)

  2. Cognitive Reappraisal (A $100 word for ‘’positive Self Talk’’)

  3. The Glove Approach (the moment before you speak)

  4. The Chair Method (Inconspicuous breathing and relaxing choices)

  5. The Articulation Technique (enhancing memory and clarity while curbing stage fright)

As a professional actor and presenter, Randy will also share personal stories of his encounters with Stage Fright in front of a variety of audiences.  As Dr Ritz still presents, performs and occasionally acts, something must have worked.
